On 27 July 2015,i am getting stunned by hearing the news of 'Sir APJ Abdul Kalam's departure. He is great visionary & inspirational power house for everyone who get connected directly or indirectly to him. So it's big loss of country as he always thinking about country & upgrading people from every class. He knew the strength of India which is youth's population.He awared about potential & ability of them. So during his presidential tenure he gave vision 2020.
If we look back into his life fold,right from childhood he struggled by selling newspaper & doing other small works, his family background is very simple as his father was boatman but he never loose focus from his studies. Although his family was poor but they supported him for that as his sister gave money for higher education by mortgage own Jewellery. So he always told peoples that India isn't a poor country but Indian thinking is poor. Be poor is bane but remains poor is crime but don't misuse your poverty as a tool or take revenge against society or richness but fight against root cause of poverty. To succeed in your mission you must have single minded devotion to your goal.
From early age his desire was to become a pilot but unfortunately selection board rejects him meanwhile he joined research institute work on different projects. Once he got opportunity from Hindustan Aeronautics but at junior position, as he had desire to be a pilot he accepted it so he can touch with planes by other means. He played important role to develop Prithvi,Agni,Trishul,Aakash,Nag these different missiles so people recognized him by "missile man".He appointed as a scientific advisor to Prime minister. By successful testing of Pokhran- II in 1998, he get renowned on the international forum. In 2002 he recommended for presidential post & get honoured by attending it.In his presidential tenure he got opportunity to fly fighter plane as a co-pilot & he grabbed that to fulfill his childhood desire by deepest intensity towards it.
As a first ever apolitical President of India, he successfully completed his term. He cross the protocols to meet the people by heart to encourage them towards right path. Once visit at Maharashtra, during his speech he spoke few Marathi lines & gave credit of it to Sharad Pawar & called him as his ex boss as the defense minister. It shows how humble & straight forward nature he had. Similarly when their is time to handover the charge of President to Mrs Pratibhatai Patil,he personally attended her & guide about president house which shows his caring & respecting nature.
He always gives priority to humanity so breaches president's protocols ( President beyond protocol )that's why he isn't just popular president but "people's president ".
He was environment lover once he met that time's defense minister before launching of Agni missile for 3rd time after two unsuccessful efforts, DM asked him what do you want after successful launch of Agni missile then he replied we can plant one Lac trees.
He always promote corruption free India & encourage youth towards honesty & ethics. He always told that if you salute your work you needn't to salute anyone else but if you are do illegal work you have to salute everyone. He already mentioned that don't follow my mourning instead of that work for the progress of our country.
As he was belong to Muslim family he learned it's tradition from his father, understand Hindu religion from Tarktirth Laxmanshastri Joshi & by taking formal training from Christian society makes him truly secular & democratic leader having passion & vision, ready to find out solution for any problem & work with integrity.
He was multifaceted personality as he wrote poems( my journey ),books( vision 2020,ignited mind etc ),autobiography( wings of fire ).He played rudraveena, he was vegetarian.He was meticulous & prompt, always ready to learn & share it in terms of national growth, never feedback to any kind of criticism, prove oneself by deeds.
He loves to be known as a teacher so when he got offer of 2nd term as the president he denied it & choose to be mentor & motivational speaker to ignite fires in the wings of youth. He always told them have courage to think differently, courage to invent,travel the unexplored path, courage to discover impossible, conquer the problems & succeed as great dreams of great dreamers are always transcended.He told dream isn't which came by sleeping but that which never goes you to sleep. And in unfortunate coincident he collapsed during speech on 'liveable planet earth' for students of IIM, Shilong & died afterwards. Exit when you are doing what you like is sign of being energetic,enthusiastic & everlasting. His work for student to encourage & channelling their right energy is also admired by UNO & declared 15th Oct ( kalam sir's birthday ) as the "world students day "in his presence.
He always thought about nation' progress. On the last day of his life he was nervous & worried about Parliament uproar, he thought members use innovative ideas to make Parliament more productive & vibrant. He had regret that not being able to provide 24x7 electricity facility to his parents. But he always wore genial smile & his last wish was billion smiles on billion faces in the country. what makes him truly great in his acknowledgement of the simple things in life done rightly. So he is truly deserving Bharatratna awardee.
Sir as you are no more available to teach us, as your body rest in a peace but we assured you that your inspirational thoughts is always ignites fire in the wings of every Indian to make our country great by all means. We follow the path you showed in your vision.
